AxxanolTM 34CD-HF protects ferrous-based metal types such as cast-iron and steel against corrosion and is multimetal compatible. It provides temporary rust protection for up to 1 year. Use to protect parts during program changeover periods in the assembly process. The product is suitable as a weldable RP and once the solvent is completely evaporated the coating does not need to be removed before welding.
The thin protective coating can be removed with most alkaline cleaners or may be left on during the assembly process. For longer term protection, place dried parts into Zerust® Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) packaging.
Product information : Ready-to-use solvent-based rust inhibitor. The amber liquid dries to a thin, oily film that is almost dry to the touch.
Usage:
Apply by spraying, brushing or dipping.
Application temperature 10 to 43°C (50 to 110°F)
Yield (dip application) Approx. 186 m2 (2000 ft2 ) / gal.
Film thickness Approx. 6-12 μm (0.25-0.5 mil)
