Abrigo® VCI paper stands out from other corrosion protection methods thanks to its specific characteristics.
• Cleanliness and no residue: unlike oils and waxes, which require cleaning after application, Abrigo VCI paper leaves no residue on metal surfaces. Parts are ready for use or assembly as soon as they are removed from the packaging.
• Ease of use: No specialized equipment (sprayers, dipping tanks) is required for application, simplifying the packaging process.
• Compatibility: Unlike some liquid rust prevention products, it does not react negatively with non-metallic surfaces such as plastics, rubbers, or wood.
Our VCI papers and ABRIGO® boards can effectively protect against rust for up to two years when metal parts are properly packaged in a sealed container.
• Paper is a flexible and versatile solution, ideal for wrapping individual parts, separating them in packaging, or lining containers. It is produced from 40 g/m² or 60 g/m² kraft paper treated on the surface with a solution of volatile corrosion inhibitors.
• Crepe kraft paper is active on both sides.
• PE-coated paper is only active on the paper side. It is easy to handle and adapt to complex shapes.
• Cardboard offers a more structural solution, allowing you to create boxes and rigid packaging with built-in corrosion protection. It is made from corrugated cardboard impregnated with active VCI molecules. It is a good choice when you need both physical and chemical protection for your metal products during storage or transport.
Unlike VCI films or bags, which offer greater dimensional versatility, Abrigo® VCI paper is available in rolls, sheets, and crepe/PE versions. Abrigo® cartons (corrugated cardboard impregnated with VCI) complete the range for bulky packaging.
